It has a C option. We had an 89 day run of no sun here. I can only imagine. PV works in clouds, not as strong but that may help.

The Fresnel Lenses work based on quality sunlight and not outside temperature. This video was made at 18:00 when the sun is low on the horizon. If you have clear days without clouds, you can do the same thing. Also PV solar panels actually work better in cooler climates. If you have long periods of no sun then other options are necessary. Are you located in the Highlands? What would you estimates your average yearly sunshine is? ]]>
