I use rechargeable batteries a lot, but they run out fast. I want to use solar power to recharge my batteries.
Is there a certain product I can hook up to any rechargeable battery? What is it called?

It would be called a "Solar Battery Charger".
You also see them on LED Solar Powered Landscape Lights. The LED lights are powered by a rechargable AA battery, and the light power will eventually completely discharge by the end of night.
The small solar panel (on top) will again re-charge the rechargable batteries during the day, and when the sun goes down, the LED lights come on once again. This cycle repeats daily.

I only invest in small-cap energy based companies like oil, gas, petroleum, and more recently, wind and solar power.
What I would like to know is how exactly do wind and solar power companies make their money? Please, I’d like to understand the industry a bit better. Thanks!

How to set up a solar panel system for a static caravan. I’m looking into fitting solar panels for my static and was wondering if anyone could advise me on the things i need to run a TV. Fridge ect:
I know i need an inverter or maybe more then one, but i need to know what type and AMP/Watts. (85 amp battery or higher) Do i need more then one battery and what amps should they be. Also what type of inverter. All help would be appreciated. THANKS.
Before you can figure out how much you need to make, you need to figure out how much you use. You need to figure out how much power the items you are powering draw, and for how long. If they are DC powered, used off your battery without an inverter, you’d need to do the math of how many watts and for how many hours. Many items have a label on the back telling you the max watts they use, multiply that times the hours a day you’ll use it.

For the fridge, if you can use a propane powered one, you are much better off. They use a ton of electricity, it’ll be expensive to try to power it off solar.

In the next year or two, Will consumers choose to power their homes with solar energy based on saving money alone?
Solar energy is definitely an alternative to wasteful and harmful burning of fossil fuels. Now I will admit solar panels used to produce energy is a bit costly but in the long run it pays for itself by cutting your energy bill dowm drastically

My home is 10,200sq.ft. and I was wondering if solar panels really are energy efficient, can lower your energy bill or if you can sell some power back to electric company because of the solar panels.
I have found some good and bad things about panels so I wanted to know if they are good or bad?

Ok so I have been thinking of buying a solar panel, and hooking up a portable window air conditioner to it for my bedroom. I figure this would keep my bedroom cold, and I could bump up the AC to cut down on my electric bill. What kind of wattage would I need from the solar panel, to cover the electricity needs for the portable window unit?
I would say this is a great idea, definitely consider going with a decent sized air conditioner, however, it all depends on the size of the space. A bedroom that is 7ft by 8ft is a big difference from a bedroom that is 14ft by 10ft. So really consider how large the room is and obviously the larger the room, the larger the wattage.

I am planning on building a solar panel and a wind turbine that run in one generator. I just want to know if the generator can run for 6 month straight or longer? Anyone with some advices I would appreciated.
