Job Demand High for Qualified Hvac Recruits0

Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems (HVAC) are in for hot job prospects and cool wages. Also known as climate control, those who are trained to perform maintenance, repair and install HVAC systems will see an increase in employment faster than average for other occupations. This is according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), through the year 2014.

What is a Typical HVAC Job Like?

An HVAC mechanic must be skilled in many aspects. Hospitals, schools, office buildings, malls, and apartment buildings have very complicated climate systems in place that can only be cared for by highly skilled and trained professionals. Most of the time after graduating from a HVAC program, you can usually choose a job that focuses on either installation or maintenance and repair. There are other areas of expertise in HVAC involving hydraulics (water-based heating systems), solar panels, or commercial refrigeration.

HVAC mechanics and installers are skilled in using high-powered tools like metal snips, electric drills, pipe cutters and benders, measurement gauges, and acetylene torches, which assist in the repair of refrigerant lines and air ducts. During training, you’ll also get familiar with reading things like voltmeters, pressure gauges, manometers, and other testing devices that monitor airflow, refrigerant pressure, electrical circuits, burners, and other components.

Learning the HVAC Ropes

The objective of the Refrigeration School, Inc. is to train and prepare students for entry level positions. A student is required to complete each phase of training with a proven degree of competency and, upon successful completion of the course; the student will have the necessary skills to enter these fields. Students study theory, design, equipment construction, electronics, as well as the basics of installation, maintenance, and repair. It is understood that to become an expert in any field requires dedication, hard work, and continued schooling, and most certainly having or acquiring the proper attitude, drive and motivation.

While HVAC mechanics of years past might have learned on the job, as equipment becomes more efficient and the industry adopts more energy saving devices most employers expect you to have completed HVAC training. The Refrigeration School, Inc. is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology, and complies with all local, state, and federal regulations. RSI is licensed to operate by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education and is a Member of the Arizona Private School Association.

Property Shortage Sends Monaco Property Prices Higher0

The classic rules of supply and demand in the real estate market are likely to see Monaco property prices rise further in the short and medium term, according to a Monaco property specialist company.

With one bedroom apartments in the Principality already at the million Euro level, the lack of properties coming to the market and the absence of new builds could make today’s prices seem like a bargain in five years time.

‘Three years ago there were six hundred properties on the market’, claim the company, ‘Now there are two hundred. Coupled with increased demand, especially from the UK, prices have been rising and could go quite a bit further if current trends continue.’

Visitors to Monaco and Monte Carlo are often surprised at the lack of apartments for sale as they can see new buildings under construction.

‘The apartment buildings under construction are for local Monaco people’, they explain, ‘Rather than for the open market where anyone can buy a property. The situation is unlikely to improve in the short and medium term but the number of buyers is rising - and consequently so are the prices. Monaco now has the highest priced property in Europe.’

Other reasons for the shortage of property in Monaco include that residents are holding on to their apartments longer, enjoying the tax free status Monaco affords, and as the owners see their property rising in value holding on to it as an investment.

To maintain residency in Monaco, residents need to live in the Principality for six months a year. Winter time often sees a lot of apartments mothballed with the owners wintering in the Caribbean.

The Economy In Monaco

With property prices in Monaco the highest in Europe and one bedroom apartments after closing costs starting at around a million Euros, longer term the shortage of property will be helped by a new island being built off Monte Carlo.

It’s thought unlikely that the new island to be built off Monaco will reduce prices much overall though, despite the increase in the number of property units available as Monaco property is always in demand.

The property company believe that most new apartments will be sold to investors off plan well in advance of any building work starting.

‘The problem with property in Monaco is not the lack of buyers’, they say, ‘but more the lack of good properties for buyers to choose from. Hopefully the new island will address that. Everyone in Monaco is aware of how important the environment is thanks to Prince Albert’s initiatives in pushing it up the political agenda, and any new developments will be low rise. With the good weather in Monaco expect to see plenty of solar panels on the roofs to make the buildings energy efficient’.

It is possible that the new island will be incorporated into future Monaco Grand Prix, which could give more overtaking opportunities.

During his first year Prince Albert has successfully made the people of Monaco aware of global warming and taken steps to combat it, and for his second year and beyond he is likely to be campaigning just as hard at home and abroad on the issue he believes in so much.

How do Solar Panels work, and how it can generate electricity?1

Can u guys help on how solar panels work and how it generates electricity?

(or u can give me a good website that has solar panel info on it)

~Thanks in advance!~

Solar panels are made up of a number of solar cells. A solar cell will generate from 0.5 to 0.55 volts DC and a current depending on the size and type of cell. The current can be milli-amps or amps. We have a list of solar cell manufactures on our blog http://brutuscontry.com under products that are sorted by watts per area. Also go to wikipedia to get more detailed information on solar cells.

Home-made solar panels VS. 30% federal tax credit?2

Do my home-made solar panels and all necessary supplies (wiring, mounting equipment, etc…) qualify for the 30% federal tax credit?

No, home-made goods do not qualify since they don’t have the manufacturer’s EPA certification.

How does solar energy create power for us to use?1

I mean, how does solar power create electricity and heating? This is for a grade, so I’d appreciate it if you were positive. Please record the websitre or book you used. THANKS!

The sun is a big nuclear reactor, it basically fuses hydrogen atoms into helium atoms. This fusion releases a lot of energy in the form of radiation.

When radiation reaches earth, it can be used for many pruposes. Heating is easy, because the solar radiation carries a lot of heat, it can be used to heat water without much technology. But if you want to transform solar radiation into electricity, you need more advanced technology, such as photovoltaic cells, which basically use semiconductors to generate electricity out of sunlight.

In theory, you can generate over 1,000 watts per square meter of sunlight (under ideal weather conditions, and near the equator), which is a lot of energy. But photovoltaic technology is a bit expensive, so it hasn’t been adopted by a lot of people. There are some solar thermal power plants, that provide electricity for a lot of people by using a heat engine to transform heat into mechanical work, and then transform mechanical work into electricity.

I am looking to install solar panels and need some help?5

I have an xbox 360 and an older tv that I would like to get solar panels for because my mom is mad I am running up the electric bill. I know nothing about solar panels and I want to know what I need to make this all work. Any suggestions would be great.

Your first problem is that the solar panels will only work properly outside, so you will have to run a power cable either through an open window or through a hole in the wall, which will make your mother even madder. Next you need to consider the specification of the solar panel. The older TV is likely to run only on mains voltage rather than 12 volts, so you will need a panel that puts out 12-14 volts DC to charge a battery, which in turn supplies an inverter which produces a mains voltage of 110V or 240v AC (whichever country you are in). It will all get rather expensive.

What are the benefits of solar panel heating?3

What are the benefits of solar panel heating?
What does it cost for solar panels?
any other important facts about it?

Solar Air Heaters are a great way to supplement the heat in your house. They don’t make electricity, they make heat. The box outside the house heats up, and a fan blows the hot air into the house powered by a small solar electric panel. The result, 100% free heat! This morning it was 50 degrees F outside, my kitchen was 70 degrees with my heat turned off. For free. On 20 degree days, it blows 100 degree air into the house. Depending on the size, the heater costs about $1200 - 1600. http://www.altestore.com/store/Solar-Air-Heaters/Your-Solar-Home-Solarsheat-Products/Solarsheat-Recirculating-Air-Heating-Sys/Your-Solar-Home-1000G-Glazed-Solar-Air-Heater/p6720/

Solar water heating is another great way to make heat from the sun. The sun heats up the water flowing through the solar collectors outside, and transfers the heat into your water heater. Solar water heaters can heat up to 75% of your hot water needs. Additionally, with a larger system, you can use that hot water to heat your radiant floors or panels, or integrate with a forced hot air system to heat your home.

Trying to make electricity to make heat is a very expensive way to go about it. The sun is VERY efficient at making heat, not so efficient at making electricity.

You can also find instructions to make your own solar heaters at http://www.builditsolar.com/Projects/SpaceHeating/Space_Heating.htm
